I don’t think Martin will die because it would be more ruthless to brainwash Martin into hating Penguin, plus he is a human shield for Sophia and keep her safe from Zsaz

Personally I have some difficult to see the scene of the hostage.
What could the Sirens (and eventually Sofia) ask to Penguin?
They will order to him to abandon all his business or something similar?
It's also difficult to see Penguin in a situatuion of disadanvatage, because if the Sirens (and/or Sofia) will give Martin to him or kill him they will lose the only "weapon" that they have against Oswald
Well from what is seen my theory is that Penguin and Victor Zsaz kidnap Sofia Falcone because she was playing him this whole time, but then Tabitha, Barbara and Selena save Sofia Falcone, so then Victor Zsaz blows up the Sirens weapon business. Soon, Sofia will become part of the Sirens and then Sofia will teach Martin about how bad Penguin is and that he is the enemy. After that, in the night time all the sirens and penguin gather outside, and then Sofia shows that she has Martin and he is on the Sirens' side, then penguin starts a gun battle war between himself and the sirens, and after that, his death is very unquestionable, or I bet Sofia was using Martin to play Penguin as a fool.

The theory makes sense and it would force the Sirens to side with Sofia. Steven Bono wouldn't fit the Arnold Weskler character.
