Ser Criston Cole’s allegiances are to no one but himself!
When Fabien was asked about his character shifting in House of the Dragon, this is what he replied –
“I can only speak to the first episode, [but] I think that shifting allegiances is a theme that runs rife in Game of Thrones and the books—and indeed, in our show, it’s the same. It’s something I’ve thought about. In that first episode, his allegiances are to no one but himself. Which I think is interesting. He’s one of the only characters who have no allegiance to anyone, although I believe Daemon has allegiances to himself in some way as well.”

There’s a special bond between Prince Daemon Targaryen and Rhaenyra
Daemon has a lot of family members, and his relationship with each of them is different. His relationship with Rhaenyra is fascinating because they are rivals for a position. Even though they are rivals, Daemon seems to have a soft spot for Rhaenyra. When he was asked about this dynamic, the actor echoed that –
“In everyone’s opinion! I think Daemon has such an intrinsic link to his brother, biologically, physically, and mentally. In some way, Rhaenyra inherited that, and they’re the only two characters that he gives a damn about. The rest? Maybe Mysaria as well. But I think it’s a bloodline thing with Daemon. I think he’s got a warped sense of loyalty, and Rhaenyra and his brother King Viserys feel the entire front of that.”
With that being said, House of the Dragon is a prequel to the popular show, Game of Thrones. The story is set about 200 years before the show and is based on the book Fire & Blood by George R. R. Martin. House of the Dragon tells the remarkable and turbulent story of the House of Targaryen.
