Matt Smith made the most of his time off ahead of House of the Dragon filming, by enjoying a dog walk around London.

The Doctor Who actor – who has recently been confirmed for the Game of Thrones prequel – was spotted running errands in the capital.

The 38-year-old was joined for the day by his adorable pooch.

He looked seriously snug for the outing, rocking a padded blue coat and tracksuit bottoms, finishing the look off with a black beanie cap.

Basically our look for the last nine months.

Matt’s appearance comes after it was revealed he will be swapping London for Westeros, for the Game of Thrones spin-off.

Appearing on a Doctor Who Q&A, the star was asked about what he was most looking forward to regarding the series, to which he replied: ‘Well, God, everything.

‘I think it’ll be a really exciting cast. I think it’s a wonderful legacy to be a part of and a wonderful world. It’s a great part.’

‘And without saying too much, I’m just looking forward to riding a few dragons.’

He quickly added: ‘If I get to, I mean I don’t know, who knows. Who knows what sort of goes on in this world.’

Matt will be starring as Prince Daemon Targaryen, the younger brother of Paddy Considine’s King Viserys Targaryen.

Olivia Cooke and Emma D’Arcy are among the star-studded cast, and will also make up the Targaryen family.

The House of the Dragon will be set 300 years before the events of the hit show, with production due to start next year ahead of a 2022 release.

Little else is known about the series – which is an adaptation of George RR Martin’s Fire and Blood novel.
