Game of Thrones prequel House of The Dragon is on the roll with its production, and we can expect the series to be here in early 2022. The filming for the show has been taking place in Cornwall for the past couple of weeks, as the recent leaks have shown. We captured a glimpse of several details previously unknown, and received an official statement about new characters joining the show. So far everything about the series seems to be promising, and the production will now move to Spain for further filming. And from there they’ll fly to Portugal, where they are scheduled to film from October 26 to 31.

This is the first time the Game of Thrones franchise will be filming in Portugal. According to Jornal do Fundão, the Spanish area of Cáceres, in the Extremadura region, 135 kilometres from Monsanto, will be the European base for the filming of the award-winning HBO series.

House of The Dragon to film in Portugal from October 26 to 31 at the Monsanto Castle

According to the local newspaper El Periódico de Extremadura, the team arrived in Cáceres in July. The filming in this World Heritage city, according to the same newspaper, will take place between 11th and 23rd October. And from there the set will move to Monsanto, where the shooting will be held between 26th to 31st October.
