where can I find the files for the gear box? I wouldnt mind taking a shot at it.
Cool video series. I don't have a lot of casting experience but I made a cast bubble free by setup on my dryer. The second I was done pouring in my mix, I threw in some old boots and cranked it up to 11. The vibrations and overall trauma the dryer endured seemed to shake loose any bubbles. Could have been beginners luck but it worked for me. You may have heard of this technique, and maybe it's well known, but i hadn't prior to picking my plaster (thanks home depot guy!).
Great! These are coming out better than I expected. Any idea how hot your mold is right before the pour?
end of that gear might be where you had leftovers from the burn-out? maybe good job i'll be casting some wax that I've been printing soon
What's the shrinkage like? Do the planets fit in a gear made of PLA?
So do the gears fit in the back ring? I'm really curious!
Nice job man love your projects
You need a pressure pot to remove the bubbles from the plaster mold.
