Casino software developer Microgaming has announced plans to launch a branded new online slot on Game of Thrones later this year.
Game of Thrones Power Stacks will see Microgaming expand on its partnered alliance with HBO that was penned six years ago when the developers released their first branded slot game Game of Thrones in 2014.
The new release, which is being produced by Slingshot Studios, is expected to feature some of the leading characters and personalities from the Game of Thrones universe ready to lead players on a new quest for rewards across Westeros’ land.
Microgaming’s Chief Commercial Officer Jean-Luc Ferriere comments: “The Game of Thrones brand has garnered a devoted following among viewers, along with incredible media attention. We are excited to extend our partnership with HBO to supply a new Game of Thrones online slot that honours and builds on the brand’s immense popularity.
“In the spirit of the show, we will be working hard to deliver a quality, feature-rich slot game so that players can enjoy an authentic Game of Thrones themed gaming experience.”
Having taken over the world’s mainstream audience by storm, Game of Thrones is one of the world’s most popular television series with hundreds of award nominations and awards. These include 160 nominations for the Primetime Emmy Award with 59 wins, and seven nominations for the Golden Globe Award with one win, throughout its eight-season run.
The eighth season of the show achieved a legendary level, producing a number of officially licenced products, including Microgaming’s original slot game which is available in both 243 ways and 15 lines.
