  1. For years, I've had the theory that the children of the forest have a secret hideout, north of everything we know north of The Wall. We know that they created the walkers to protect them against Men. Which would make sense, if they have a hideout, and make the area between them and Men impassable with white walkers. What if they created chaos in Westeros on purpose, just so they could suddenly show up with the sollution, so they can save the day and gain popularity? Maybe they lost The Game a long time ago, and are still playing it behind the scenes, because they were destroyed and didn't have enough power left to play the actual game.

  2. I don't think its that stupid to look into other writings by authors to see what their ideas may be. That story is clearly a precursor to ASOIAF so its not insane to suppose he carried the ideas over changing them and applying them to his new writing. Even if they're different worlds the fundamental ideas are clearly very similar so what happens in ASOIAF could be similar too.

  3. Interesting theories! So I haven't read the books yet but you have rightly noted that Jon, Danny and Tryon's Mother's died while giving birth to them. Do you think that the strength of the dragon, which seems to be in all three, lead to their mother's deaths? In other words, perhaps their mother's couldn't survive their births because the force of the dragon within all three was so strong, unintentionally killing their mothers upon their births. Food for though!

  4. I just love that A song of ice and fire books have such myths and legends like ice dragons, this makes me so exited about the spin-offs shows that could take place outside places we know and these new places could contain ice dragons.

  5. ice dragons also inhabit the shivering see which is next to the everything beyond the wall as well north of essos. we don't if since ice dragons breath ice, they can survive beneath the water much longer than fire dragons, one might be bound to the nightking already and rather than travel with the rest of the undead army the dragon is travelling beneath sea. maybe why east watch is being attack
