  1. so i'm also attempting to write my own musical, but truthfully i have no idea where to start, and so far i've just been brainstorming ideas for the past while, I have a set premise that i want to go for but other than that, i'm lost. So i don't know if you'd be willing to make a video on that? or even just being up for a conversation on some other social media? haha

  2. I have a love-hate relationship with Rent in that I really can appreciate some of the songs musically and what not like they are catching and I appreciate the real LGBT representation. But everything I dislike about it can be summarized in Lindsay Ellis' video about it. They're awful people and don't try to change the system or do something with the privilege they have (cough cough MARK cough) or how they don't appreciate what they have (again MARK) like hating their parents for just wanting to make sure theyre doing okay!!!

  3. Yes yes yes please give me reasons to not see rent because I'm dieing because my parents refuse to buy me the expensive tickets its the only good show to actually come to Not-Seattle Washington

  4. Thank you for the point made about comedy in Spring Awakening. The writer of the origial play it was based off of said that the play is more gripping with humor and that he felt the actors didn't find it funny enough.

  5. Rent to me is just a very half backed musical with tons of oversights and inconsistencies in the writing. Though I do tolerate it because there are people who are able to see something in it that I don't, and say that the show has helped them. Not to say that I don't care about the subject matter, (in fact I care very passionately about it) but I just don't see the show succeeding in it's execution. But if you love it and it has made you a better person having seen it, more power to you!!
