Actress Nanna Blondell, who played an adult Laena Velaryon in the show, recently talked about how she felt when riding Vhagar in a recent episode of the official Game of Thrones podcast:
“Let me talk about my expectations about filming that scene. In my head, I thought I was gonna ride a dragon. I don’t how I could be so stupid. No, I was so bummed out. It was a nice day. You sit on that, you know, saddle, and the others, they have smaller dragons. So they get to do things like more rollercoaster riding. Mine – Vhagar, is so big, so it’s like, really slow. You know, going to the left, going to the right. And then they have these leaf blowers in your face. And then when you need more they just put more guys with leaf blowers in your face.”
