  1. Not even watched this yet, and I am feeling like "Thank God, not a show episode". Forget the show buddy, stop talking about how crap it is and blow our minds out of our tinfoil covered skulls with elaborate and convoluted theory that inspires reading and critical thinking.

  2. I can't help but to think that Aemon put the bird there. I've always suspected that he would communicate with bloodraven via the crows, and this was a more blatant act of this. We could find out from a bran chapter, rather than from Sam, because he's with Brynden. But I'm not against it being Edd, but if Edd is involved, I'd think of him as conspiring with Aemon than working alone.

  3. Maybe the (skinchanged) raven was strong enough to put himself into the kettel afterall… Mormonts raven is described as huge and bigger then usual. I think last he is seen when Sam and gilly are attacked by the wights. Sam doesnt specifically notice him as mormonts raven in the haste of the Moment. But later the raven screams go go go to Sam, making it likely to be mormonts talking raven. Anyway this raven
sitting on small Pauls shoulder, eating his flesh, so in a way Paul is still tending the raven afterall. But more to the point mormonts raven is normally eating fruit and corn, so this behaviore is odd for him. But could it be possible that the raven here, beeing controlled by bloodraven, is able to absorb some kind of physical power from Paul, by eating his flesh/blood? Paul was described as the strongest man in the nightswatch. And the raven could maybe fly through the chimney where the kettel is located and somehow push the lit far enough to gut through

  4. "Next we'll talk about Halfhand"
    YES FUCKING YES.
Halfhand was the most interesting and peculiar character in ACoK, I can't wait to hear more about him.
