Last week the world was deprived of another jewel that once shined bright over the big screen. The entertainment industry is mourning the loss of multi-talented actress, Diana Rigg. She passed away at her home on Thursday at the age of 82.

Diana was an important part of the Game of Thrones family. She played the role of wise and cunning ‘Queen of Thrones’ Lady Olenna Tyrell. Her journey began in 2013 with the introduction of the character in the series, and she made the character likeable in the common households.

Rigg’s presence is being deeply missed by her Game of Throne’s co-stars. Nikolaj Coster-Waldau, who played Jaime Lannister on the show expressed his sentiments on Twitter.

Diana was a dazzling actress and a compassionate and kind human being. Her presence was comforting and inspiring for her co-stars, so was the beauty with which she executed her roles. Other than Game of Thrones, she starred in the 1960’s The Avengers, the Bond movie On Her Majesty’s Secret Service and many more.
