Nikolaj Coster-Waldau (Jaime Lannister) stopped by the recent Argentina Comic Con, and naturally, everyone wanted to talk to him aboutĀ Game of Thrones. Check out the video interview below, where he discusses, among other things, how heā€™d like Jaime to die andĀ what was going through Jaimeā€™sĀ mind when he pushed Bran out a window way back in the season premiere.

So what kind of death does Coster-Waldau want for Jaime? Death by old age. ā€œAnd then the last thing he says is, like, ā€˜Brienne, I always loved you.’ā€

That was a joke. Mostly. Going a little deeper, Coster-Waldau contemplated the end:

If he had to go, I think, you know, it seems to me that, if you look at the whole show, fire is a big part of Jaimeā€™s story, so I think heā€™s gonna get burned to a tiny little crisp bit of bacon by a dragon.

Ā

By ā€œfire is a big part of Jaimeā€™s story,ā€ Iā€™m guessing heā€™s referring to the time Jaime stopped the Mad King from burning down Kingā€™s Landing. Stay tuned.

Coster-Waldau also mounted an interesting defense of Jaimeā€™s first big sin: pushing Bran Stark out a window and crippling him for life.

I never saw him as a villain. And I donā€™t think he was a villain when he tried to kill Branā€¦Iā€™m not saying itā€™s a good thingā€¦I saw him making a very brutal decision based on facts. The facts were if this kid tells anyone what he just saw, my sister, probably myself, all the children are gonna get killed. So itā€™s us or him.

Make of that what you will.

Finally, he revealed what he could about season 7. ā€œItā€™s coming right after season 6.ā€ Thank you.
