It has been revealed that Normal People star Daisy Edgar-Jones is dating Game of Throne’s actor Tom Varey, and we just love it when two TV worlds collide.

Daisy, who plays Marianne in the hit BBC Three drama, first met Tom – who played Cley Cerwyn in GoT – on the set of 2018 film Pond Life.

However, it is not known how long the acting couple have been together, but a recent picture of the cute pair walking hand-in-hand through London has warmed our hearts.

According to the Mirror, Daisy and 29-year-old Tom – who has also had roles in Channel 4 dramas No Offence and Ackley Bridge as well as his one-off stint in Thrones in 2016 – have been isolating together with two friends during coronavirus pandemic.

Metro.co.uk have contacted reps for comment.

Daisy, 21, has had viewers gripped in the romantic drama Normal People, about two teenagers who go through an on-off passionate relationship.

However, some viewers were less impressed as a heated debate broke out on an Irish radio show, with some callers branding Normal People ‘immoral’ for depicting ‘fornication’ between Marianne and Connell (played by Paul Mescal).

One disgruntled caller complained that Daisy ‘only looked about 15’ and said: ‘I imagine it would be something you’d expect to see in a porno movie. Certainly not for family viewing.’

Daisy also told the Evening Standard that both her parents and Paul’s have watched the show, including their sex scenes.

She even got Tom to watch it all, through which he had to ‘grit his teeth’. Fair enough.

Daisy said: ‘He was gritting his teeth but at least he’s seen it now. It’s my grandparents I’m most worried about!’

Normal People – originally written by Sally Rooney – was dubbed the first great millennial love story.

Speaking to The Independent, Paul said he believes the use of the term ‘millennial love story’ description is ‘basic’ and ‘reductive.’

‘I guess it’s to do with fitting words into a small space to describe a novel, fair enough, but that’s not my relationship with it.

‘To be brutally honest, most people I know are meeting over apps. That’s not the case with Connell and Marianne.’

He continued: ‘There’s something extraordinary about them and I don’t think they can be labelled as millennial. They’re way more interesting than a title like that.’
