Olivia Cooke is dishing on the Game of Thrones prequel House of Dragon!
The 27-year-old actress – who will play Alicent Hightower – shared some new info about the show.
“When I read the script, I hadn’t seen any Game of Thrones,” Olivia revealed to Variety. “But then I binged it and now I’m obsessed.”
Also in the interview, Olivia opened up about the audition process.
“I had to do so many self-tapes,” Olivia recalled. “I was on hold for ages.”
Olivia was offered the role in October, and she was sworn to secrecy before the official announcement was made in December.
“People would ask, ‘What’s up for you next?’” Olivia remembered. “And I’d have to be like, ‘Nothing.’”
As of right now, production for House of Dragon is on hold because of the pandemic, but she did recently have her first costume fitting.
“I’ve had one sort of preliminary fitting when they just draped some fabric on me but that was it,” Olivia said.
House of Dragon is expected to debut in 2022. Find out which other actors will also star in the show!
