TV picks for Sunday, May 5

WATCH THIS:

“The Spanish Princess” (8 p.m., Starz): In this period drama series, Charlotte Hope portrays Catherine of Aragon, the strong-willed young Princess of Spain, who has been promised the English throne since she was a child. During the first of eight episodes, she arrives in dreary England, where things don’t quite go as planned.

“World of Dance” (8 p.m., NBC): In the season finale, the top act from each division and a wild card (five acts total) will take the stage for the last time in the “World Final” with judges Jennifer Lopez, Derek Hough, NE-YO and host Scott Evans. Competing for the title of Best in the World, the judges will score their performances based on their artistry, precision and athleticism. The top act will take home $1 million.

“Killing Eve” (8 p.m., AMC and BBC America): The MI6 team make a pact with the devil in order to get information from The Ghost. A visitor from Broadmoor comes with a dire warning. And Eve and Villanelle find themselves closer than ever.

“When Calls the Heart” (8 p.m., Hallmark): Off the air since mid-March, when cast member Lori Loughlin became entangled in the ugly college admissions cheating scandal, the period drama series to action. But Loughlin’s character, Hope valley mayor Abigail Stanton, won’t be part of Hallmark’s top-rated series as the producers have edited out her scenes.

“Game of Thrones” (9 p.m., HBO): The evil supernatural forces have been dealt with, so now what? Well, there’s human evil to confront — embodied by Cersei Lannister. Judging from the trailer for this week’s episode, our friends in Winterfell won’t spend a lot of time mourning the dead. “We have won the great war,” declares Daenerys. “Now we will win the last war.” And so it’s on to King’s Landing. Something tells us this victory won’t come easily. Let’s hope Arya has some more heroics left in her.

“The Real Housewives of Potomac” (9 p.m., Bravo): The reality series returns as lies are uncovered and relationships are strained. Ah, but love always finds a way. Gizelle Bryant, Karen Huger, Ashley Darby, Robyn Dixon, Monique Samuels, and Candiace Dillard Bassett all are back for more drama — and scandal.

“Good Girls” (10 p.m., NBC): With Beth (Christina Hendricks) determined to lead a new crime-free life, a desperate Ruby (Retta) and Annie (Mae Whitman) go behind her back to strike a new deal with Rio.
