In this new episode of Sic Parvis Magna, Roberta and I talk about PSX & The Game Awards, where we saw new trailers for Death Stranding and Shadows Die Twice. We tried to do a quick analysis and discuss our theories and predicitions. We also discuss viewer topics, like our most anticipated new game, microtransactions, PS4 Pro VS Xbox One X, a PlayStation Switch type handheld console hybrid, The Last of Us 2 Hints and even more. Enjoy!

  1. Sony has to come out with something like Switch to compete with the new Nintendo system.. Cuz they’re really killing it now with a great system that is both a portable and a console.. So they would have to have one that could rival that type of versatility with perhaps even more features like an internet browser and the like..

  2. I think the portable PS4 is the only way Sony can go these next few years. They've got options for everyone who wants to play games and even though the Slim is nearing budget territory, they could offer a similarly priced option alongside the Slim that is not limited by its portability in the types of games it will support. The direction they wanted the VIta to go was this. But the fact is that the Switch is the only thing to do it correctly in a post mobile-phone gaming market. Offering console quality experiences (by Nintendo standards in terms of visuals) and a modular set-up to increase the value proposition while keeping the cost low. If Sony were to do a "PS4 Pocket" or something like that, it would support DualShock 4 and maybe even include one, but the unit itself would be a controller. This would be the only way to offer that same modularity without outright copying the Switch's modular joycons and it would offer the same experience as the Slim when powered/charging. I think they could do 720p games in portable mode, many of which run at a full 60FPS, portably. Like TLOU Remastered or the Wipeout Omega Collection. It would finally be a way to run console-level games on a Sony handheld that didn't require streaming to pull off. I've mostly been advocating for the theory because I would totally buy one if the option was available over getting a Slim. Sure, it would mean that digital download was the only way to go. But every PS4 game exists as a digital download already.

  3. Does Roberta even know what Persona's artstyle looks like. Because, really, you can love the game or hate the game but you can't deny that the artstyle is great or at least special.

  4. Keep thrashing Roberta. I do like the general theme of the artstyle in Persona 5 (elegant use of black & red) but i agree with Roberta about the characters design and animation.

  5. can you make an episode for your trophy list on PS4 and your platinum trophies
    what was your first ?
what are the best , easy , hard
what you try to achieve and failed ?
    something like that ?

  6. Actually the Switch poll stated that 50% of people play equally at home and on the go, 30% of people play mostly in handheld mode, and only 20% of people play mostly at home. So yes, people are using the Switch more on the go.

  7. Great video Robin, I’m glad to see the podcast back. I wish that I could support you on pateron, but I don’t have much money at the moment. However, I will support you in the future though when I can afford it. Thanks for making great content on YouTube and for being entertaining on twitch as well. Keep up the great work! I hope your channel hits 100k soon and continues to grow. Btw tell Roberta that I like how straightforward and honest she is about her opinions on games. I enjoy listening to her trash games, lol.

  8. I am not saying it because its a PS4 exclusives but I really loved the Horizon Zero Dawn and Alloy, I also platinum'ed it which i never do and surprisingly the gameplay didn't bore me as well I really enjoyed it i even maxed my level before reaching Meridian by killing the ThunderJaw (the fist one i encountered) over and over which i never do in any game by the way. MMy total game time was 85 hrs and some minutes may be because i played the game on very hard difficulty which i regretted (since i don't go into settings other than the audio ones, and i found out at the end of the game that you can change the difficulty ingame lol)
