Game of Thrones prequel House of The Dragon is one of the high-priority projects at HBO currently underway. The production is moving swiftly at Leavesden Studios despite hitting some minor obstacles along the way, as indicated by the regular leaks occurring all over the internet. And it seems like the show might be here sooner than we expected initially, true to George R. R. Martin’s word. the show’s star Paddy Considine, who will be playing King Viserys Targaryen in the upcoming prequel, is quite positive the production for the first season will be completed in a few weeks.
Paddy Considine sat down to have a chat with NME, where he discussed how grueling it is to balance his music career along with his tight filming schedule. He said, “Oh God, you have no idea! I’m still doing Thrones now. I’m supposed to finish in three weeks’ time. This has been the most demanding thing I’ve ever done, not least because it’s the only thing I’ve done that’s lasted for this length of time. It’s been a really long job.”
He continued, “I play King Viserys Targaryen. I did watch the show before, and I really enjoyed it. This is set 200 years before the beginning of Thrones and it’s the story of the Targaryen dynasty.”
