Pedro Pascal opened up about strange fan encounters and revealed he got quite the eyeful while snapping selfies with Game Of Thrones enthusiasts.

The Last of Us star, 48, appeared in the epic drama series as Oberyn Martell – a member of House Martell – almost 10 years ago.

He recently reflected on how fans of the show were still reacting to a scene that saw his eyes gouged out and his character brutally killed.

Pedro admitted he was asked to pose for a selfie reminiscent of the moment his co-star had his fingers in the actor’s eyes and ended up in the doctor’s office with an infection as a result.

The star revealed: ‘I remember, earlier on, because of Game of Thrones and the way my character died people were super into taking selfies with their thumbs in my eyes.’

He continued telling the panel assembled for The Hollywood Reporter’s Drama Actors Roundtable: ‘At first, I was so earnest and happy about the success of the character in the show, I’d let them!

‘But, as a result of having people’s fingers around his eyes, he maintains he got ‘an eye infection.’

His comments came after he also revealed that he only voices The Mandalorian character in the Disney Star Wars series.

Pedro shared that in the beginning of the show he stepped into the role’s iconic armour but after a few episodes resigned to the recording booth instead.

Stuntmen and body doubles picked up his physical presence as the bounty hunter on set as the star’s ‘body wasn’t up for’ shooting in the metal suit.

He told The Hollywood Reporter: ‘There was an extended amount of experimentation, being in the suit for a lot of it, and frankly, my body wasn’t up for the task as far as, like, the four months of it.

‘But I was in it. I was in it a significant amount, an elastic amount. But now we’ve figured it out, which is super cool, and amazingly, it gave me the opportunity to be able to go and do something else.

‘I think that there are things that you have to let go of in terms of what can be an OCD level of attention to detail.

‘But even so much as wanting your component of that to fit perfectly into the collage, you really have to give it all up.’
