Peter Dinklage has revealed how reading the final scripts of Game Of Thrones was a ‘heartbreaking’ experience.
The 48-year-old actor plays Tyrion Lannister in the show, and dropped some teasing hints while discussing his new Super Bowl advert opposite Morgan Freeman.
Speaking to Mashable about fans’ relationship with the show, Dinklage said: ‘Fans are a great resource for material. They know more about it than I do almost.
‘But it’s fun to see them speculate, especially early on when we’re just getting started.
‘It’s great, it means everybody’s really engaged with the show.’
Being pretty adept at dodging questions about the upcoming season, Dinklage merely teased at his emotional reaction to reading the show’s final scripts.
‘It was heartbreaking,’ Dinklage added. ‘And the end of an era.’
The actor previously stated the show is ending at the ‘perfect time’, saying how it’s better to conclude before it potentially jumps the shark.
It’s yet to be confirmed when Game Of Thrones will be returning, but it seems the world is eyeing April 2019 after some recent comments by Maisie Williams.
In the meantime, let’s just watch Tyrion Lannister rap against Morgan Freeman one more time. We deserve it.
