Game of Thrones is excellent at delivering some truly heart-stopping moments.

Viewers can rest assured that season eight won’t slow down the pace either as GoT’s leading star, Peter Dinklage, promises yet another epic battle is in store.

While promoting his new movie, I Think We’re Alone Now, Peter, 49, was naturally asked about the series’ highly-anticipated season eight and whether anything can top the iconic Battle of the Bastards.

Peter, who plays Tyrion Lannister, confidently replied: ‘Oh my god, and then some. You are in for it. Truly.’

As if it was possible to be more excited!

Fans of HBO’s hit fantasy series will undoubtedly remember the Battle of the Bastards, which took place in the penultimate episode of season six. The epic war saw a stomach-turning, edge-of-your-seat face-off between Jon Snow, played by Kit Harington, and Ramsay Bolton, brilliantly portrayed by Iwan Rheon.

The characters battled it out for control of Winterfell but Jon Snow, with his miniscule army, defeated his evil nemesis by the skin of his teeth. The Battle of the Bastards remains one of the most iconic moments of the show so fans can only imagine the amount of bloodshed that season eight holds.

Peter’s revelation comes after former Game of Thrones actor Finn Jones predicted how the popular series will come to an end and it doesn’t look good for any resident of Westeros. According to Finn, who played Loras Tyrell, nobody will survive by the end of season eight because, well, it’s Game of Thrones and people tend to die.

Go figure.

Maisie Williams, who portrays Arya Stark, recently teased her character’s fate by sharing an Instagram photo of her bloody clothes.

A premiere date for season eight is yet to be revealed but it is expected to arrive ‘early 2019’ and close with its final six episodes.
