Some mild Game of Thrones season 8 finale spoilers below.
Game of Thrones reached its highly anticipated, if disappointing finale last night, with millions of fans turning in and smashing all previous viewing records.
But a certain Good Morning Britain host wants us all to know that he doesn’t care for the groundbreaking HBO fantasy.
Piers Morgan took it upon himself to tweet to his 6.6 million followers tonight that he’s never watched Game of Thrones and isn’t going to start watching any time soon.
He tweeted: ‘BREAKING: I don’t care what happened in the #GameofThronesFinale because I’ve never watched a second of this fantastical over-hyped garbage & never will.’
Grand. Thanks for letting us know.
The replies to the tweet rightly pointed out that Piers does indeed care enough to tweet about it.
One commenter wrote: ‘It’s like he’s describing his career.’
While another added: ‘How do you know it’s overhyped and garbage if you’ve never watched it? …. Poor form.’
Regardless of Piers’ or anyone’s views, the final episode, which is titled The Iron Throne, drew in an audience of 13.6 million.
The feature-length instalment beat out the previous record of 12.5 million which was set by episode five, The Bells, last week.
Game of Thrones season 8 is currently streaming on Now TV.
