Off topic, would you be willing to do a video on Bitcoin? I respect your words and believe your educate enough on economics based on comments you've made in prior video (s) regarding your BA. I think it's something that could attract many more to your page. Just a thought. Regardless, love listening to you.

  2. Dear Preston,
I'm one of these people that never comment on YT, but honestly, I love your videos so much
Too bad I'm a broke student, I really can't participate on Patreon even if you're one of the very few that truly deserve it
Thank you for all these hours of entertainment !

  3. 11:1311:27 AFFC happens alongside part 1 of ADWD not part ii of ADWD. Samwell V is the only chapter from AFFC to happen during ADWD part ii so I have to strongly disagree with your point here. ADWD part ii is, after all, called 'After The Feast'. Cersei's arrest doesn't happen during AFFC.

  4. Thank you for acknowledging the scientific inaccuracy of agriculture in Westeros. As an agricultural engineer, I always saw this as a flaw in GRRM's otherwise amazing world building.
As far as Sweet Robin's knowledge of Vale gossip goes, there is also a mundane explanation. He overheard people talking about it. Robin is a scrawny kid who could probably hide places if he wanted to spy on people. We have plenty of examples of Arya accidentally or purposely spying on people, so it is definitely plausible that her cousin could do so as well. His physical weakness and childish behavior also results in people treating him as mentally weak. It is quite possible that adults say things in front of him that they shouldn't, because they believe he can't understand them.

  5. The correlation between seizures and the thought of flying could be telekinetic flying, as in lifting ones body with the power of the mind and flying Superman-style. When Sweetrobin talks about making people fly he probably imagines throwing people against walls, etc. with telekinesis.

  6. Yeah, that's GRRM biggest weakness in that he doesn't understand agriculture. If there were summers that lasted years, the soil after one or two years (approximately 4 – 8 harvests) would probably become unusable without proper crop rotation, fertilizer and soil erosion control, all of which seems to missing from the books.

  7. The SweetRobin thing is this: Its a tale for parents who try to stifle their kids' talents. Instead of SR becoming an awesome warg, hes being treated to medication, like kids who are misdiagnosed ADHD or the likes…

  8. You're really forcing the whole patriarchy thing in with Arya there. Her hair is cut because it's pragmatic, and it allows her to live in a way more suited to her without drawing attention (more masculine), but I really doubt that GRRM meant to draw symbolism with Ned's death to the bashing of the pervasive boogeyman what be keeping women down and whatnot. Just doesn't seem like the character to do that with.

  9. Shouldn't Sweetrobin have become aware of Bran after Bran's got a power boost with the Weirwood/Jojen paste? Sweetrobin seems to have greater nascent power than Bran. Even with the Milk-of-the-Poppy, Sweetrobin should know something about Bran or Bloodraven.

  10. As a Chad born during the summer, I must say I am so amped for WoW. But I fear it is all one big jape an over 20 year joke on all of those who read and love these books, performed by Ser GRRM.
