  1. The allegations surrounding Quantic Dream, while it won't affect my feelings towards the new game, is definitely a worry. My issue with Detroit: Become Human is this: it's is a David Cage game. And having experienced his past games, I don't trust him to tell a story competently or deal with subject matters in a tasteful way (there's a reason why David Cage Bingo is a thing, because he's THAT predictable).

  2. Im unhappy with my current job but it got me a new vehicle in 2 years rather than working in retail for 5 years. But I dont go up to HR and make false claims against the company. People make shit up all the time. And im not going to attack someone or the company on "allegations".

Same thing the IGN and the senior editor Vince. I dont care for Vince and think hes a moron yet the chick that came out against him has no proof and the bitches "meaning people not just females" at IGN refused to work until it was addressed.

  3. As someone who went to art schools for 6 years, you have to separate the art from the artist. You kinda have to if you want to enjoy art cause most of us are scumbags and perverts.

  4. Allegations aren't facts. And we don't know what the working environment is really like. Also I find it very hypocritical for you guys to assume guilt considering how easily somebody could claim harassment allegations against you guys. I mean Jesus you were joking about (hard) candy Andy and the producer/seducer five seconds before this Quantic Dream piece. There are a multitude of clips that could be put up to paint you guys as masogynists and sexists and all kinds of other horrible things. And there would be actual tangible video evidence to back up those claims. Now anybody who actually watches the show would know whats up. But every body else would jump to the conclusion that you're bad people, without actually knowing anything about you or your dynamic at Kinda Funny. Is that fair or right?

  5. As for not supporting ''Detroit'' because of this…..i think videogames are a different proposition (in most cases) then movies, writers or musical artist. It's easier to boycot ''old'' media because the imprint of a certain person is often more dominant in the end product. With videogames is more often an team effort above anything else.

(Un) Fortunately there are still some exceptions. Cage products could be one of those, moreso then any other videogame developer.

Still workplace issues are often on a broad spectrum and the level of accusation is often more mired in mist then focused accusations of a personal nature. So if this story doesn't develop into something more delinated i think boycotting the product is kind of silly (to each his own offcourse).

  6. Unrelated……since this is coming up time after time i am also expecting an Max Landis topic on GOG since that is an issues Greg and co can actually speak on. That case is more complicated for me since his accusers aren't sourced by a reputable news source but it is more relevent since it is actually someone is is part of the Kinda community.

  7. I think one should reserve judgement until more is know. Problem is ''Le Monde'' is one of the biggest,if not the biggest newspaper in France. It might have a leftish lean but their pedigree is quit good so the likelyhood of at least some of this being true is probably right.

Its still very complicated though. To my it often goes to sources and since ''Le Monde'' has a high standard of journalistic integrity i believe the case for Quantic is at least problematic.

  8. I wish people like Ian would stop having knee jerk reactions when stuff like this is reported before any proof comes out. Can we please wait until these allegations are proven true before we start crucifying people?

  9. why shouldn't we support Detroit? Thats ridiculous, there are good, talented people working on that project, the (alleged) actions of a few should not undermine the efforts of the many other developers, artists, voice/mo-cap actors etc.

  10. Detroit is a game made by thousands of people. If you gather thousands of people in a room how big a chance is there at least a few are assholes? I would say 99%. This has nothing to do with the game unless they actively promote misconduct in the game. Sucks for the people involved though.

  11. I have a legit question that might make me sound ignorant, but when there is harassment or misconduct do people go straight to HR or have they tried talking to the person trying to educate them on how they make others feel? Or does someone mistakingly slip up and someone takes it straight to HR? I feel like this is just destructive and can't be redone once it's in HR hands. It's horrible and scary.

  12. I'm listening to their Podcast everyday and finally this day is coming…

What is greg saying of that report thing?
"The Report Report?" "The Local Report?" "The Roper Report?"

Someone tell me please and let me die in peace

  13. Not supporting something because someone associated with it has done a bad thing is stupid. In video games, movies, music etc. Not doing because you feel bad is ok. But boycotting it because you feel obligated by society is completely idiotic. What does it have to do with the product? I don't see any of you not buying clothes because they're made by kids in Asian countries.
