The 2018 Emmys are on its way, to be aired onSeptember 17and Game of Thrones has already marked its presence at the Creative Arts Emmys by winning seven awards in different categories. Music Composer Ramin Djawadi was one of the awardees, for his outstanding composition for the episode ‘the Dragon and the Wolf’.

Djawadi received the news right before hitting the stage for Game of Thrones live concert at San Jose, California. He took it to Twitter and shared his gratitude and joy, saying:

“Honored to find out that I won an Emmy for @gameofthrones right before going on stage to perform #gameofthroneslive. San Jose – Thank you for celebrating with me!!”

We all are great fans of Djawadi’s amazing role in not only making the TV series engaging but also the way his all compositions help in foretelling and propelling the story. For instance, ‘Needle’Arya Stark’s theme shows us the entire journey undertaken by her as a whole since the very first season.

The same is the case with ‘The Truth’ soundtrack from Season Seven which not only represents the union of ‘Ice’ and ‘Fire’ but also builds up Jon Snow’s Targaryen heritage – which will be definitely revealed to him in the final season. Earlier Djawadi had discussed the same with the Variety, where he revealed:

“It really is a big part of storytelling — be it either in the background, under dialogue, or when there’s no dialogue, and you really have music in the foreground…Both those approaches are a way of storytelling and pushing the story forward. I always like to think of music as if you were to turn the picture off, actually. Just by listening to the piece of music, there’s a story there and a connection to the characters and the plots and all of that.”
