Evil Morty is Morty from the future. Why? Because our Morty is becoming more self-aware, agressive, smart and manipulative. So our Morty ends up becoming evil for real and Evil Morty is actually Future Morty.

Technically if you have access to infinite realities then you dont need to be able to travel in time, you can just portal to a reality where everything is the exact same but the universe started 10 minutes later.

Love it when in IDC 2, the waitress says something like I don't get it, and Rick says, Yea me too, we pretty much nailed it the first time.

There's something to be said for ignoring the pre-show hype and just wait for the episode.

Morty killing mortys

All I know is that the shock was real when I realised Evil Morty was the president of the new Citadel

They always say they never use time travel in Rick and Morty but they completely contradicted that point in the first episode. When Morty breaks his legs, rick leaves through the portal and comes back with a healing syringe almost instantly (about 5 seconds later) and then continues to tell Morty how he was in that other dimension for a really long time. Am i being stupid or is that time travel because I'm pretty sure it is – Rick leaves through a portal, stays in another dimension (for I'm presuming around a few days), then somehow comes back in time and back through the portal to give Morty the healing syringe. If it were not time travel, surely he would come back to Morty the same time after he left as how long he was in the other dimension (if that makes sense).

Hahaha its very cool to see this when you have seen the episode spoilers
