  1. This why Jaime would never be a redeemable character for me personally, he should have searched for that wildfire and removed it from the city. That is what Ned would have done in his place. But Jaime just sulks about the situation, Jaime never takes responsibility for his deeds. Jaime also never has any remorse for pushing Bran from the Tower.

  2. Can someone help me out here but wasn't Tywin still technically Hand but he was away from the castle because of Aerys II being jealous of his power and reputation? Aside from that, Jamie was talking about the futility of his oaths always gets to me. He needs to obey his father and King, but the King ordered him to kill his father. He should protect the innocent but the King was about to kill them. With Robert he was under oath to stand aside and watch him mistreat his sister

  3. A rebellion is any kind of uprising against the established power, successful or not. A revolution, to be worthy of the name, must aim to transform society into something new. Like from a kingdom to a republic, or from capitalist to communist, or simply to overthrow a dictatorship. But you can't call a revolution just some lord usurping the king's crown. It's just more of the same. The only "kinda" revolution in GOT is Dany's dynamic as she is going against (some of the) existing structures.

  4. Hey, Calvin (or whomever is reading the comment section) , tell Rick the real reason Ned didn't want the mad king dead on arrival: Ned wanted a confession, reasons, justifications from Aerys Targaryen, there's also a point to be made that if you simply kill a ruler without hearing his side of the story, you are doomed to repeat his mistakes, people can learn even from cruel dictators , but in the interest of holding on to power and national security usually the dictator is murdered as to not spill the beans.

Hope this will persuade you to vote against the death penalty, or perhaps it will help him in his D&D campaigns to forge better villains. Remember, Jamie could always just maim Aerys.

    Cheers!

  5. these hardcore loser have no lives GOT fans are such assholes to y’all. no wonder so many ppl hate the GOT fandom especially the smug snobby book readers. blind wave deserves better subscribers

  6. You've got to take into account the context with Jamie and Ned. Tywin and his Lannister army have sacked the city. Ned is probably sickened by the whole war and he confronts a Lannister who has just broken a solemn oath.

Jamie is a very young man, desperate to serve Rhaegar, desperate to fight and prove his worth but compelled to stay in King's Landing. Jamie isn't operating logically, and neither is Ned. Jamie is desperate for honour and Ned, the most honourable man in the Seven Kingdoms, instantly and obviously despises him. So, Jamie does what many young men do when they are condemned and rejected. He pretends that he has nothing but contempt for Ned, for men of honour. He acts with bravado and insouciance to show everyone that their contempt cannot hurt him.

Jamie wasn't mature enough to think it through; so, he doesn't even try to explain to Ned why he did it. Even if he had tried, Ned was not in the frame of mind to listen to a Lannister and an oath breaker. It's two angry, sickened men and prideful men confronting each other at a point when both feel their honour has been compromised. It goes badly, and neither man ever gets past that first meeting.

  7. Whats with skipping all the best scenes lately??? I refuse to believe there wasn't even the slightest reaction to Beric's resurrection or Jamie's scene in the bath. You don't show either of those, but you show Jon chasing Ygritte to the cave, seriously? One job editor, one job… Hope ep 9 isn't like this.

  8. As the Warlocks said in season 2, the birth of the dragons awakened magic all over the world. Also having to do with the comet that was seen streaking through the sky in both Westeros and Essos. If you remember the R
