Sometimes, ignorance can be bliss. Especially when that ignorance helps you land a role on one of the biggest television shows currently on the air. In this clip, Rose Leslie remembers her audition for Game of Thrones, and why being completely unaware of the show actually helped her get the part.

  1. She's Scottish, of course, but grew up in England or something. I remember, back in the day, when Ygritte first appeared on GoT. Everyone in the Westeros 'North' seemed to have been told to put on an accent similar to Sean Bean's, so there Rose was giving Ygritte a YorkshireLancashire/whatever accent. And all the folk unfamiliar with the British Isles must have looked her up on wikipedia, read she was Scottish and just assumed that her 'stroppy Manc' accent was Scottish. I remember having a very surreal exchange on youtube with some Scandinavian who was telling me that Ygritte's accent sounded pretty Scottish to him! I told him/her that I was Scottish and she didn't sound anything like, but they weren't having any of it!

  2. This guy is looking at her like he is going to attack her backstage after the interview. What a creepy interviewer. The way he is leaning forward and touching the arm of her chair while talking. Very unprofessional

  3. Damn. Hes a really good interviewer. Very sincere, very personable, very intelligent. Brings up great points and asks great questions. Gonna have to start watching this guy now.

  4. i kinda like it when an interviewer comfortably looks into his or her guests' eyes.. it feels sincere and really boosts the respect between the two that engages in the conversation…. but yeah.. he's creepy lol
