Richard Madden and Kit Harington both took bittersweet trips down memory lane recently, Madden, by re-watching The Red Wedding and Harington by reflecting on the end of his tenure on Game of Thrones. Additionally, Maisie Williams has announced that she will also be attending Comic Con Experience in Brazil in December.

As part of GQ‘s new video series GQ Action Replay, Richard Madden (who features on the cover of their January/February issue) was asked to re-watch his own death scene at The Red Wedding.

“This is quite an emotional sequence,” he said dryly. “Just as an actor … watching your unborn child be murdered and then your wife slowly dying in your arms. Not a comedy.”

As the scene played out, Madden explained how the hydraulic pump full of fake blood hidden beneath his costume malfunctioned on the first take of Robb’s stabbing and shared that he’d had to catch a plane back to London immediately after completing the scene where he’d sat “covered in fake blood, exhausted and just sobbing very loudly on the plane. And people were looking at me quite strangely because it looked like I’d just murdered someone and got on a flight. Which, in fact, I hadn’t. I’d been murdered.”

He also praised Michelle Fairley’s acting several times. Like a good son.

Kit Harington is currently co-starring in the play True West in London, which he discussed in an interview with TORYmax. He was asked how performing at the Vaudeville Theatre compared to starring on Game of Thrones

“You know, I think people think that’s the sort of glamorous bit. I find this the glamorous bit,” he said. “My job is to come in and play to a West End audience every night. That for me is quite glamorous whereas Thrones filming was quite often outside in some foreign country away from all your mates in a muddy field.”

When asked how he reacted to completing his final scene, Harington was honest. “I burst into tears,” he said. “You know, it’s a weird thing. I’m not sad about it ending. I just feel very joyous about it ending and having completed it but it doesn’t make it any less emotional.”

Lastly, Maisie Williams has added her name to the list of Game of Thrones alumni who will be appearing at Comic Con Experience (CCXP) in Brazil. Williams announced her attendance on Twitter in typical Maisie fashion.
