The Screen Actors Guild Awards is going down once again in a matter of weeks, as the 2020 awards season kicks into full swing.
Today America Ferrera and Danai Gurira announced the nominations for the 26th annual SAG Awards at the Pacific Design Center in West Hollywood, California.
As well as the below nominees, spanning both film and television, The Irishman actor Robert De Niro will be presented with the SAG life achievement award for performative and philanthropic accomplishments across his 54-year career.
That gong will be presented to him by Leonardo DiCaprio – who has also been nominated for his own award below.
Over the years the SAG Awards have acted as a prophesy of sorts for the Oscars, which occur on 9 February next year, with 18 lead actresses taking home both the SAG Award and the corresponding Oscar for their role, with 21 for leading men, since the SAG Awards’ inception in 1995.
