you all do so many theories and things.. we saw the maesters meeting and they are no so important ppl. They are everyday ppl here and the books are nothing to do with the series now … so they have knowledge… they are behind their walls.. we cannot wait anything from them so Sam do well and leave the area
He found dragon glass , yup
Well educated and intellectual people trying to stop people doing the occult while guiding them to sciences and critical thinking?Wow what a sinister agenda!
i have a question….where was Tyrell's army when jamie attacked em???
I believe that Sam will get caught and his punishment will be to go through the history of inventory and marriages and deaths. It will put him on a path that was unintentional but necessary.
Being a maester is not the equivalent of being a doctor. It's the equivalent of being a doctor, lawyer, accountant, scientist, scholar, historian, quartermaster, mathematician, engineer, etc, all wrapped into one.
You're one of my absolute favorite GOT theorists!!!
VALERIYON STEEL and the process that was lost to make it has always seemed rather obvious to me.Its not MAGIC but instead is a MIXTURE of DRAGON GLASS AND STEEL .The only magical part would be that you need DRAGON FIRE to SMELT THE DRAGON GLASS AND STEEL TOGETHER or a way to make fire hot enough (maybe wildfire can do it).
I never read any threads or watch videos with this explanation of VALERYION STEEL.I mean it's pretty obvious the evidence is everywhere .
do you think it's possible Sam may reverse engineer heartsbane to unlock the formula of valyrian steel?
He probably finds the book passed down from generation to generation it has many mens seed all over..the first porn or westeros.
I had nod heard this theory before but it does make some kind of sense, it would also offer some kind of alternative explanation as to why Kybern was stripped of his chain with his experiments being a bit out there. As the seasons progress we see more magical things happening. There is also a theory about magic being in people if they believe it enough which would also be good reason for the maisters to deny its existence "power resides where men believe it resides".
Think about it….Sam is not a warrior….among other warriors….but among other maesters…he is more a warrior then most. So, maybe everything in GOT will rest on Sam vs Maester battles…
I never believed in the maesters' conspiracy in the first place. They're not against magic (they simply don't believe it's very useful, at least not anymore) and they didn't kill the dragons (they just don't thrive in captivity). Maester Lewin was actually one of the few of them who studied any magic at all, and he was just offering his advice to Bran. Then again, I think Sam's childhood dream of becoming a wizard might very well come true.
I actually think he might become a wizard….remember when he said he wanted to be a Wizard?and even his girlfriend said ''you're like a wizard''.
Yes Please more about Maesters
Sam said he wants to be a wizard. The maester's library is a means to his ends.
is it 220 in the 7 kingdoms or 227 swords ?
Okay, as someone who also does theories, maybe not on Game of Thrones, but about other fandoms…one thing I do when I propose a theory is that I explain how this theory could work, going into detail, grabbing all the supporting material for it, and then spending time to explain it to everyone else. I kinda noticed that you are not really doing this.
If you want to title the video "Sam Will Destroy the Maesters' Conspiracy" as in, discover that the Maesters don't want magic to return and are trying to prevent people from believing in it…you're not really diving into how he would do it. You're not really proposing how this theory could work within the context of the show or the books. You're just saying why he might do it. Which is of course, because he knows that the conspiracy may cripple the Seven Kingdoms' chances at winning the war with the Whitewalkers (Others).
You should explain how he could do it. How would he destroy it? Would he expose it? Would he convince the other Maesters that their whole duty of suppressing magic can doom Westeros? Would he (upon discovering this conspiracy) attempt to sabotage it in other ways?
These are the questions you should try to make an effort on answering when stating this theory.
not related to Sam but is it not weird how Jojan told Bran he was the three eyed raven and he also knew when he was going to die that day. Do a video about green sight and what it all means.
I like this theory but how would Sam know everything about Arya and Bre and Danny? unless he meets them all and they share stories.
looks like Sam is finally gonna achieve his dream of becoming a wizard. damn the foreshadowing in this show is just unbelievable.
Sam will definitely find something…. but there are so many threads in the Westeros-verse… I think he will find a "lost" or "hidden" relative of significance. I can't imagine George writing this into the story with having a plan. I think that he will find an unexpected link between two houses… maybe Stark and someone unexpected, like maybe Mormont or Lannister.
I think sam will be able to use magic. He will figure out he has magic by lighting a glass candle
Sam is way more important than some people think. Could his sperm donor be more hateable? They made fun of his book knowledge, but it will serve him well.
Yes! I'm a scientist but also a lover of GOD'S… so I'd definitely like to hear more about the maesters and the conspiracy idea (it doesn't qualify as a theory… most misuse that term 😉 ) It's also a common misconception that scientists are anti-religious and don't believe in things like magic. Science as a discipline is a tool for explaining natural physical phenomena of the world. It is not constructed to deal with philosophical, religious, and other supernatural things. That doesn't mean they aren't true or aren't important. They just aren't part of the realm of science. Using science to study or disprove religion and magic is like using a microscope to study the works of Shakespeare. You might learn something about the paper and ink… but not about the motivation of Iago or whether someone else wrote some of his works. It just isn't the right tool… and nothing you discover takes away from the contributions he made to literature.
would the study of magic result in Sam being banished like Qyburn?
I think Sam's gonna find out everything, get killed and then revived by mylasandra and recruited by danaerys fly on a dragon and fall off at the land of forever winter…yep
Recall the Wildlings are wary of magic too…Dalla's comment to Jon and Mance in the tent: "Sorcery is like a sword without a hilt, there is no safe way to grasp it."
I would like Sam to find a book that actually contains the process of making valerian steel. They knew how to make it all along, but since it has takes magic…
Sam will find the way to make Valyrian steel. If he doesn't whats the point of his being there? Also he will find some other way to fight the wight walkers – or for a real plot twist, the way to make an alliance with them.
dude you are awesome
Since you are watching the show again. There's a scene where Sam and his brother's of the nights watch are at the fist of the first men. The part where they find the dragon's glass. If you look closely you will see a decrational horn. I personally believe that this horn is the horn of winter or the dragon's horn. I believe that Sam will recognize it in a book. The question is who has the horn or did they leave it there. If it's still there Sam may need to retrieve it. That's if it's important or just a prop in the bag just to make it look good.
Didn't the birth of Dany's dragons re-awaken the magic in the world? She had to use magic to hatch the eggs – perhaps that spurred the increase in magic activity. We know that magic has grown, because the maesters are talking about the glass candles lighting again. There is plenty of evidence of magic returning to the world. Direwolves had not been seen south of the wall for 200 years, yet one was found at Winterfell, and had died after birthing six pups – coincidentally all of those matching up to all of Ned's children. Wargs and greenseers were believed to be a thing of the past, but we see evidence of warging among the Stark children, and Bran is a powerful greenseer and warg. The white walkers are evidence of magic at play north of the wall, with Craster sacrificing his male babies to them, thus carrying on the magic for the white walkers. The red priests and priestesses are fascinated by fire magic, and some appear to actually be effective.
dig deeper and make a video
i think sam is actually pretty courageous.
he has seen what he is trying to stop and still continues to find a way to stop it.
most people would run away and try to forget about it.
So maesters control all the Ravens, huh? That basically makes them the Internet of Westeros…
So, the Maesters are like the Illuminati of Westeros.
thats something i never understood about the saying, when its like this, so, in the game of thrones universe, magic is a FACT, its a real thing, known, practiced, proven, even if diminished, and the maesters theory revolves around the maesters suppressing magic so they can instal logic, reason and science, but how can magic be beyond logic, and reason, if it is a REAL thing in the game of thrones universe? like, if it was completely non-existent, and there was no such thing as magic and people were just waving there hands with smoke and mirrors bullshit, and getting to gullible to believe in nonsense, sure, its reasonable for the maesters to put forth more reasonable thinking and logic in place of that…but why suppress magic if it is REAL? is it because magic defies what is considered logic and reason? by being an unnatural presence?
yes this is true. Did u notice in 1st season 7th episode, Sam tells Jon that he wanted to be a wizard, just after Jon was declared a steward. This is in tune with this theory. And also as after reading their characters in season 7, actors said that they were more bizarre than ever, so magic is the only thing where more bizarre things could happen, cause we had nearly everything possible, huge wars and everything.
love your videos! i'd settle for fewer of them if they were longer.
