Game of Thrones season 8 is coming out at some point in 2019, and while HBO is likely too busy filming the final episodes to think much about marketing yet, we now have an idea of what the key art for the campaign could look like.

This news comes from Collider, which got its hands on a season 8 promo poster scheduled to appear at this year’s Licensing Expo. The Licensing Expo is an annual event where thousands of brand owners from the worlds of fashion, art, entertainment and the corporate arena get together and try to convince retailers to sell their brands. Someone from the inside passed the season 8 poster on to Collider ahead of time, and here we are.

Before you look at the poster, know that this is very early in the process. It’s possible that the poster we see in the months leading up to the season 8 premiere will look very different from this one. Think of it as a first draft.

It’s nice and simple, with the sigils for houses Stark, Targaryen and Lannister aligned along the bottom of the image below some plain ice blue text. “The final season.” Says it all. For comparison’s sake, here’s the season 7 key art, which had a “fire and ice” theme:

Also very simple. It’ll be interesting to see what, if anything, actually gets shown at the Licensing Expo, which is scheduled to go down in late May at the Mandalay Bay Convention Center in Las Vegas.
