HBO is officially adapting Naughty Dog’s beloved video game The Last of Us for TV, with Game of Thrones alum Pedro Pascal (Oberyn Martell) as the grizzled Joel and fellow GoT veteran Bella Ramsey (Lyanna Mormont) as the feisty Ellie, two people who must rely on each other as they make a dangerous cross-country journey across what remains of the zombie-ridden United States.

It’s a big project, and now cast member Gabriel Luna has revealed the first picture from the set, with Pascal in the background:

Luna plays Tommy, Joel’s brother. If I had to guess, I’d say whatever scene they’re filming here takes place before the zombie apocalypse brings down society — at that point Joel and Ellie haven’t met yet, but it’s anybody’s guess.

Look out for The Last of Us to premiere on HBO sometime in 2022…unless they wrap things quickly and manage to get it out by the end of the year, we’re not sure yet.

Liam Cunningham returns to the high seas to be eaten by Dracula

Meanwhile, SyFy Wire reports that Game of Thrones alum Liam Cunningham (Davos Seaworth) has joined the cast of The Last Voyage of the Demeter, about a single chapter from Bram Stoker’s 1897 horror classic Dracula where a ship is transporting the famous vampire to London…only for him to eat every single crew member on board during the passage. So this one doesn’t have a happy ending.

Cunningham will play the ship’s captain, Captain Eliot. Davos was also a seafarer, so this should be easy. In the Heights star Corey Hawkins plays the lead, while André Øvredal plays Dracula himself. Funnily enough, Øvredal actually played a wight in the final season of Game of Thrones, so it’s practically a reunion.

There’s no release date for The Last Voyage of the Demeter as of yet.
