I have listened to this story on audio book half a hundred times and I have A knight of the 7 kingdoms on my dresser I've read multiple times. You did a nice job explaining it to someone who has never herd or read txt.they don't really say exactly man to man who squares of man to man on the initial tilt except for a few, I think the laughing storm took prince maekar in the first tilt as prince Baelor went after one of the kings guard, I only say that because the laughing storm wanted a piece of Maekar, details left of of the story but you did a good job.
Hey man, I'm rewatching the series, and in season one when Ned is being led through the streets, he says 'baleor' to one of his men as he passes him, it was his last spoken word, I wonder if he was telling him to take care of the true heir, Jon
Her name is Tanslle, Tanslle too-tall, but not to tall for…….uh puppets.
Got to say I love this time line in GOT. Dam good video. And I love how Brienne of Tarth had Dunks heraldry painted on her shield, George is the master of the tie-in
Loved Baelor was a true honorable man
Also the siege where he dies is fascinating due to the amount of characters involved, i mean the Peakes lose there castle, a king dies, Roger Reyne The Red Lion becomes lord and shows why he is so feared. i think a lannister also dies but i'm not sure.
This intro tho 😹
i've always liked Maekar, i think its due to his resemblances to Stannis. Plus he has a cool crown when he's king and wields a badass mace.
Got damn bridge 4, I have to say, I fuucking love your vids man, for real. I wish you would do a video with gray area and talking thrones, I hope you three are friendly because that collaboration would be awesome.
I recently completed the audiobooks for Dunk and Egg and I loved it… I hope there is more… Do you have any vids about Sir Dunk and Jenny… and If Brienne or Hodor are related?
where do i go to listen to the audio book?
The Dunk and Egg stories are great. I would love to see some more of those though I just want to see an end to ASOIF. Anyway that was a great video and excellent summation of all the salient points.
The Laughing Storm.
What a badass nickname
I remember reading this scene. It was so brutal and epic
Brilliant Kev. Like this type of video. made it easier to follow the fight than in the book.
Is it possible that Rickard Stark demanded a TBC because he was knighted? I noticed this in the books…
A Clash of Kings Catelyn VII……"As for Lord Rickard, the steel of his breastplate turned cherry-red before the end, and his gold melted off his spurs and dripped down into the fire."
At some point Rickard Stark earned some golden spurs and got himself some steel armor. In a "So spake Martin" article he stated…..
"You will also note that Westerosi armor tends to "later" styles as you go south. Plate is more common in the Reach say, while mail is more the RULE in the North, and beyond the Wall the wildlings have very crude primitive stuff."
I think Rickard's "southron ambitions" might have had something to do with him being Knighted(if he was). I dont think you would have caught Ned in a suit of steel plate.
Fancy sport for fancy knights. Won't last one min in the fighting pits.
The trial of seven is some of if not George's best writing. I couldn't turn off the audio book. It's a masterpiece. I'm not sure that there is a better written sequence in all of asoiaf
Great vid Kev, great subject. Love those books
Aerion needed a good clout in the ear!!
All three of those books were such a fun read
Apparently the next novella will be dunk and egg at the wall
Its awesome, you get to see Westeros from a different perspective besides that of the Lords.
Great video! I like listening to you tell stories you have a nice voice. No homosexuality intented. You sound like you'd be a UFC fighter!
ser dunk is the best, the whole dunk and egg series is amazing. my favourite is still the sworn sword, such a small scale but done so well (love the osgreys too). great vid 🙂
The little "hmm" at about 2 mins 20 with Tyrion made me spit out my tea! Hilarious 😂😂
