You're overthinking the Brienne and Podrick shot. They're wearing the same things they were wearing at the end of season 6 at Riverrun. They've always had Lannister clothes since they first started their mission when they left Kings Landing. This shot might just be them returning to Winterfell after failing at getting the Blackfish to join them.

Thoros and Beric will most likely die, though. They are trying to capture a Wight and bring it back to KL to prove to everyone that they are real, and not "grumpkins or snarks." Jon is trying to get everyone to band together, forget their petty turf wars and fight the REAL threat. If they were looking for the Children of the Forest, they'd be better served going to the Isle of Faces in the God's Eye. Perhaps after dropping Bran off at Winterfell, that's Meera's next mission. To get back to her father, Howland Reed, and tell him about Jojen and what they discovered and learned from the Three Eyed Raven.

If Jon is the Last Hero then maybe his voiceover is him talking to the Children of the Forest.

I always thought that the scene with the dragon at the end was in battle, but if that's Dragonstone in the background, Im now hoping thats Drogon meeting Jon. I just want some kind of interaction between Jon and the dragons (preferably Rheagal).
