Game of Thrones prequel House of The Dragon has been a topic of chit-chat amongst the lovers of the hit fantasy series. The show has displayed a huge potential so far and promises to improve on some of the key aspects that made the original show a blockbuster. The fans are already looking forward to meeting the new dragons, and also having a look at the legendary Valyrian steel swords. It is one of the most anticipated shows of 2022, being on the top of IMDb’s list. With a promising future in sight, co-showrunner Ryan Condal believes the audience will be the key to the show’s success.
Condal recently joined The Ugly American Werewolf in London podcast, where he discussed what he wishes for the upcoming prequel. He made it quite clear that he doesn’t want to spoon-feed the audience. He said:
“You really have to trust your audiences. Audiences are really smart and they want it to be an interactive experience, they don’t want to be spoon fed everything, they want to have to lean forward in their chair and listen and put things together and say, “Oh, I know what that is and that is.” And that’s what makes them engage with your work. So it has to be accessible, because if it’s inaccessible you just lose everybody. But the trick is walking that balance and figuring out the least amount of information possible to carry people along the way.”
