Fleabag star Sian Clifford has recalled the horrifying moment she was ‘almost sick on set’ after the actress, who is vegan, had to deal with a dead deer.

Yes, seriously.

The star, who is about to star alongside Game of Thrones’ Maisie Williams and Mawaan Rizwan in Sky series Two Weeks To Live, recalled nearly vomiting on set.

Speaking to Radio Times about the awful ordeal which happened while filming, Sian explained that like most people she gets ‘freaked out by dead things’.

She began: ‘Our lovely producers, during the read-through, asked if I’d be comfortable filming this scene. And I said: “Well, it’s not going to be real, is it?” And they said: “No”.’

However, when Sian got to the set she realised the deer was, in fact, real.

‘I nearly vomited! Then I had a panic attack. I was really upset, and the producers very quickly ran inside because there were dead squirrels, rabbits, all sorts of things as set dressing inside the cabin,’ she added.

‘They just moved me aside. It was mortifying and my castmates found
it hilarious.’

In Two Weeks To Live, Sian plays overprotective mother Tina who has brought up her daughter (Maisie) off-the-grid.

After her daughter runs away and finds herself in serious danger alongside Nicky (Mawaan) Sian’s character goes to save them.

Creating a mother/daughter bond turned out to be pretty easy for Maisie and Sian, who are both now well known for iconic roles.

It appears the actresses both found comfort with each other on set after they both revealed they wanted to step away from the stereotypes of their previous roles in Game of Thrones and Fleabag.

It comes after Maisie told that since her role in GOT, she feared she wouldn’t be able to play anything else.
