Sophie Turner was completely shocked after Jessica Chastain, her X-Men: Dark Phoenix co-star, hinted at a big Game of Thrones Easter Egg from the show’s first season.
In an interview with Metro, Chastain and Turner briefly talked about the series and Turner was asked if she had received any clues about her character’s fate.
Turner discussed how in Game of Thrones’ first episode, Sansa Stark said “I want to be queen, mummy, someday.” However, this wasn’t the major giveaway for Season 8’s events: Chastain pointed out that Game of Thrones Season 1’s poster revealed a major spoiler for the series.
So, did anyone else notice that the season 1 poster already told us who would take the throne at the end of the series?#GameOfThrones pic.twitter.com/mcQfli7siJ

On May 19, the Game of Thrones finale ended with an unexpected outcome: Bran Stark, also known as The Three-Eyed Raven, became king of the “six” kingdoms, while Sansa Stark was crowned Queen of the North. Even though this plot twist shocked most fans, the Season 1 poster shows Ned Stark (Sean Bean) on the Iron Throne with a raven sitting right next to him.
Turner, who was completely shocked at the Game of Thrones Easter Egg, simply whispered, “We can’t talk about it.”
If you’re still sad about Game of Thrones ending, you can relive all of the series’ best Season 8 moments in the documentary Game of Thrones: The Last Watch.
