Newly married Sophie Turner has praised her best friend and Game of Thrones co-star Maisie Williams for being there for her growing up in the spotlight.
The Sansa Stark star, 23, got married to Joe Jonas (for the second time) yesterday in a star-studded ceremony in France.
By her side as one of her maid of honours was 22-year-old Maisie who played her on-screen sister Arya in the HBO series.
In an interview with Psychologies magazine, Sophie said: ‘Maisie has been the most wonderful friend to me over the years.
‘We grew up together on Game of Thrones’ and we have shared so many things and talked about everything.’
Sophie added that she hoped she has been supportive of Maisie too.
She added: ‘We both leaned on each other during those times when we felt out of place and a little lost.

‘It’s been so good to have such a great friend like her around and we are still very close.’
The Dark Phoenix actress also revealed how playing Sansa ‘toughened’ her up.
‘When you’re starting your career at a young age, you’re forced to grow up much faster,’ she explained.
‘Also, playing a character like Sansa and having to endure all the things she did, toughens you up.’
Fans of the stars were wondering where Maisie was ahead of the French ceremony as she posted some snaps of a trip on the London Underground on Wednesday afternoon.
But there was no need to worry as the actress was spotted arriving with her boyfriend Reuben Selby alongside Ashley Graham and Priyanka Chopra.
Game of Thrones season 8 is available on NOW TV.
