Sophie Turner was mortified to come across a white supremacist meme this week using her Game of Thrones character, Sansa Stark, to push their divisive message.
The British actress discovered the awful post on Twitter, denouncing interracial relationships and stating that white people shouldn’t date other races.
Setting us back decades, the post read: ‘White people are the product of 50,000 years of evolution. Do not destroy our genetic legacy by race mixing. Do it right! Date and marry white.’
Yep, that ridiculous.
Promptly disassociating herself and her famous GoT character from the offensive message, Sansa retweeted the post with the loud and clear statement: ‘Ew. Please don’t use me to promote racism.’
He-ro.
The offensive tweet has since been deleted and the Twitter user’s account suspended.
History has proved that Sansa, 22, has no problem calling people out on social media when the occasion calls for it.
The TV star gave a massive side-eye to President Donald Trump in November when he posted a meme of himself with the tagline: ‘Sanctions are coming,’ in reference to the iconic Game of Thrones phrase.
Sophie simply replied: ‘Ew,’ while her co-star Maisie Williams clapped back: ‘Not today.’
HBO, which airs the critically-acclaimed show, wittily chimed in: ‘How do you say trademark misuse in Dothraki?’
Trump and his MAGA hat have been accused of empowering white supremacists in America so it’s no surprise Sophie had something to say this time round.
Plus, we’d hate to be on the receiving end of Sophie – Sansa is pretty bad ass these days.
