Looked like someone's reflection in the ruby to me the eyes are small Ruby's was probably the camera man as he cam in for a close shot

When he gets the sword from mormont the eyes are open. they are clearly closed before he gets out the water trippy af

People, chill the friggidy frack out and put the kush aside. Look up in previous episodes the shape of the eye, and how it's filled with a solid colour. Now look at this scene. Notice how the frame of the eye doesnt fill up entirely, but rather just pops like a pupil and then slowly spreads to the bottom like water dripping. I dont know about the whole reflection thing, or if the eyes are made of some crystal. Dragonglass would definitely fit.

The only good explanation would be, that the eyes part of the wolf is a hole and we are looking through it.

it was not eyes it was a a glass in the eye position of sword and when jon slam s the hand on ice the glass shell shows the inverted image of john.

Water guys but nonetheless they can use this and say it's magic.
