  1. With only one day left before I get to see The Last Jedi (In IMAX 3D of course) I thought I'd throw out my predictions just to go back and see if they were right.I agree with the Rey Palpatine theory not just because of the abundant evidence to support it but because of a process of elimination. None of the other theories really work of overlook important failing in them.First, Rey is a nobody/new bloodline. This just doesn't work at all. Snoke and Kylo were looking for her, they knew of her and the power she possesses. Her parents (and she has said parents, not mother but both parents which puts a damper on the wound in the force theory) left her on Jakku for a reason as a child. She didn't display any force powers all the way up to The Force Awakens so it had to be because of who she was related to and her potential.Rey Skywalker? Most definitely not. Leia doesn't know about her, Han didn't know about her, and Luke would never have abandoned his daughter on a desert planet to fend for herself. He had to put up with that himself, why would he do this to his daughter? And not even entrust her to a loving family? No, I find this one totally unbelievable. I don't think Luke even knows of her. The last show wasn't one of recognition, but one of wonder and fear. It was like "Who is this and why does she give off the vibe of my worst enemy?" He senses the dark side in her but can tell she's not committed to it. At least that's my view on it.Rey Kenobi? No, just no. After seeing what happened to Anikin I don't see Obi-wan ever forming a loving relationship and one night stands just to get his wick wet doesn't really seem his style. I'll just leave it at that. It just doesn't make any sense.Rey Palpatine? Now that starts making sense. Having that much power and money I can easily see him spreading his seed around. I am quite sure he would have engaged in carnal pleasures, and quite often! I can see him bragging to those around him, "I'm so powerful I can have any woman I want! I can just walk up and grab them by the…" well, you get my meaning.  I can't see him having a loving family but many lovers? Of course, he is a Sith after all!So, with that out of the way here is my predictions for Rey and The Last Jedi. Rey's parents (or one of them at least) Was a child of the emperor. As Snoke and The First Order rose to power they found out about them and started hunting them. They dropped Rey on Jakku to protect her from Snoke before they were caught and died but Snoke found out about Rey and was searching for her every since. He found Kylo and turned him but what he was really looking for was Rey. This is part of what fuels Kylo's rage, even though he has done everything to prove himself worthy to Snoke and the memory of his grandfather he's not who Snoke really wants.Luke will train her in hopes of pulling her away from her dark heritage but Rey's pull to the dark side will be too strong and this will put her in conflict with Luke pushing her away and to Snoke. Kylo will be tossed aside once Snoke has what he wants and this will alienate Kylo. It might not push him to the light side but against Snoke and the First Order. And from there will be Episode IX.

  2. While I won't deny the idea and the hope that it could be the case. And being how Rey is so strongly connected to the Force. Thus was able to pull off unthinkable feats of wielding a lightsaber with little to no training. The fact that she was shown using the form and style that Palpatine was known to use in a lightsaber duel. It could be said that it could all be a matter of coincidence. Though of course, Star Wars Lore people would just tell me, "There is no such thing as Coincidences. There is only the Force."

Then, I just blink and point at who the director was for Episode 7. Jar Jar Abrams is not known to have very original ideas and I highly doubt the team of writers really thought as deeply to give subtle hints into Rey's ancestry. As we are talking about Disney here. Yes, I know it is Lucas Arts is still making the films but who is the one holding the check? Disney. So yes. I believe Disney doesn't think too deeply into it. Just having a head who is trying too hard to have pretty much anything Star Wars have a female character. Which does not bother me but at least try to make them a reasonably strong person. Than just saying "They are a woman".

Still, I digress. As I see it. It is wishful thinking. And really. I bet we will never know. As by the end of Episode 9. Rey as a character will be written off. As the actress that plays her won't do anymore. Which means like we are seeing. We have a start of a preventable war. Then, we have the highpoints of the war with billions dead. Soon to the happy ending with the 'good guys' celebrating a victory over the 'bad guys'. Which really…I cannot deny the fact the New Order is in fact evil. They are very much that Nazi Party faction of the Empire. That faction that survived and rebuilt itself into a mighty force. All hell bent on taking revenge on those who deserve it. The New Republic is their victim. Yet we cannot even bother to deny the fact the New Republic is innocent of any of this. They knew the New Order was out there. Knew full well they had a superweapon. Yet did nothing to react. Bickered to the point a whole solar system was destroyed. Plus a majority of the New Republic Fleet. Really in truth…the New Order should have utterly won but hey PLOT ARMOR! Who cares about logic right?

  3. You forgot something about Rey's use of a stab with a lightsaber. In the EU, one of the first times Luke sees Mara Jade use a lightsaber, she uses the same stab. Luke comments that neither Old Ben, nor Yoda taught him that, and asked her where she learned that. Her response was that Sidious himself taught her it. I would like to point out that, later in that story arc, Luke reclaims his old saber (the one that he lost on Cloud City) and gives it to her.

  4. The Lightsaber attack Palpatine uses and Rey uses, IS NOTHING SPECIAL.. Even LUKE uses the Very same thrusting technique.. its No family secret.. its a REALLY basic thrust sword technique… Thats NOT evidence
