Here's my new Star Wars The Last Jedi video for every Jedi Training Lesson Luke and Snoke gave during the movie. Let me know which you favorite was. Please use spoiler tags till we get through this next weekend just in case people haven't seen it yet!
Force ghosts
Rebels
where is Rex ?
Love this FILM!!!
Can u do a video about the knights of Ren’s absence in The Last Jedi
I am wondering for a long time now, will we see acrobatics and lightsaber fights as in prequels? For me lightsaber combat is an art with various techniques which only jedi could master due their manipulation of the force (e.g. : reaction time, foresee enemy's attack, lightsaber throw like yoda and Vader etc.). Not without purpose it was that lightsaber is the most elegant weapon. New trilogy fights look like ordinary sword combat and it shouldn't be that way cause lightsabers are light in weight and therefore can be differently used as they are not in the hands of medieval heavy, bulky, dumb knight ;P. And it seems now that anybody can pick up the lightsaber and be fine using it. Even Darth Vader with all his bulkiness fights like a badass in Star Wars Rebels series vs Asoka and look at him in the Rogue One! Look at Kylo now, waving his lightsaber like madman. I know that they were not given such trainings as jedis were before the Empire as there are no one to teach them of combat but Kylo compared to Rey has much more experience and he was taught by Luke (who probably did not pull his saber out for a long time since he had retired ;PPP) but Kylo could have trained himself as Vader did when he had to learn how to fight in his suit for the first time.
Postmodern nihilism in a saga that is based on Jungian and Campbell inspired mythological archetypes.
Sacred Jedi text, page-turners they are not. lol
I actually didn't really care about any of the lessons. They really didn't do anything for me in the movie more like background noise. However I am a little concerned about the Force ghost, and the amount of effect that can still have on the normal world. If they can do all those things that they did in the movie then what is the big deal about any Jedi dying?
She is “no one”?! Odyssey reference??
So, Snoke surely has to come back in episode 9 right? In the prequels talking about the sith, Yoda said "Two there are, no more, no less." I know Snoke isn't a sith but would this sort of apply to Kylo as well? I guess what I'm trying to say is Snoke can't just be dead leaving Kylo the only evil force user. He's surely coming back in one way or another or maybe there's another dark side force user? I don't know but TLJ was awesome imo. Force ghost Yoda had me excited as hell and Luke was just an absolute god at the end.
Would you be able to do a video on what Legends stories and ideas you think could still be brought into the new Disney verse?
I really really have no idea what happened to the students Kylo Ren took with him supposedly, they were even shown in The Force Awakens trailer but then nobody talks about them. What is they're place in all this right now? Please give me some answers
Another great video, Thanks! Going to see this again on the weekend.
Hey charlie
Hope you read this
When snoke die
I am not sure did I saw general hux is taking a saber out and turn himself to become a sith?
Hi charlie, ive got a couple of questions. The first is why do people hate the prequels so much? To me, i thought they showed different locations, brilliant choreography, new lights on characters and in my opinion a great back story to the OT. The second is what did you think of the choreography in EP 7&8? I personally felt like its a bit of a shame that they seem to have gone back to the clumsyness of 1977 fighting. Thoughts? Cheers
Just watched it and was SO disappointed. Such a bad movie, every part of it was predictable. Snoke and Phasma were completely wasted. All they did was take the plot of the original trilogy and shit on it. Disney ruined Star Wars.
Can you please make a video talking about why people do not like The Last Jedi so much and your personal opinions on everyone saying they didn't like it? I'm very confused about it because I really loved the film
Can't wait for the next video, keep up the great work!
I think my favorite part was Yoda teaching Luke
They really fucked Luke up in this movie
Charlie, thanks for the video
None tbh i was disapointed with this movie and its the last Star Wars movie i'm gonna see under the umbrella of Disney
Snoke the most powerful Sith died like a bitchh lmfaoo and so did Luke Skywalker. Disney fucked over the old stars wars fans
the only thing that is really problematic on this channel is just how many things the narrator feels are "problematic".
Ep 9: return of the snoke
My biggest disappointment was Snoke's death, it was so anticlimactic. He had connected Kylo and Rey's minds to formulate a plan where she goes to him to capture her, and you're going to tell me that Kylo just tricked him and cut him in half that easily? Kylo is the most unstable character, there's no way he would be able to trick Snoke.
Plus, I was hoping Kylo wouldn't be the main antagonist. I was hoping for a scenario where Kylo goes to the good side, or (probably better) Rey stays with Kylo under Snoke until ep9 where they finally turn against him (turning them or one of them into a badass gray jedi).
call me crazy but it seems it would have been better to have the backbones of a plan for this trilogy but it seems like each director has no clue what is going to happen in the next.
What Jedi training scene?
Luke was one of the funniest and most interesting characters in last Jedi!
I watched Star Wars tonight. It's a tad too Disney, too many "stop and laugh" moments and the dialogue is too modern in some spots. I did like how what Luke did, in the end, shows what Obi-wan did in A New Hope. Obi-wan's death finally makes sense to me. Overall I liked it.
I'll say one thing Charlie, you make the movie sound more intelligent than it actually is.
