The Duffer Brothers have made it clear they’re committed to delivering a definitive ending to the Stranger Things saga. “It was our intention to write a definitive ending to this story. When we pitched it to Netflix, we genuinely thought the scale was going to be about on par with Season 4. But, uh… that turned out to be a lie,” says Matt Duffer.
He teases massive battles that “will evoke the same feeling as Battle Of The Bastards from Game Of Thrones. Episode 4 and Episode 8 are just monsters. The fourth episode, called ‘Sorcerer,’ is the most logistically insane shoot of our lives” (via Empire).
Going Bigger than Ever Before
With Stranger Things Season 5 set to be the final chapter, expectations are sky-high. The Duffer Brothers’ comparison to Game of Thrones’ legendary Battle of the Bastards episode suggests we’re in for some truly epic sequences. Episode 4, titled “Sorcerer,” and Episode 8 are being described as “monsters” in terms of scale and ambition.
