  1. Anyone catch the homage to Toxic Avenger? When Max and her bro are driving he threatens to run over the kids on their bikes and says something like "full points if I hit them all". He was also driving a muscle car which is slightly similar to the one in Toxic.

  2. Mike's reaction to Max is so contrived and idiotic, even for a kid. Okay, he misses Eleven. What's that got to do with Max? Maybe if the show actually gave them a scene together (before the scene in the gymnasium, which had it's own issues) that added some weight to his displeasure at her hanging around the group it would have worked. But since they didn't, it winds up feeling forced and manufactured.

  3. I thought these first two episodes were really kinda slow. Nothing much has happened. Episode 2 especially. We learn a couple small things, but we haven’t really seen much of that monster yet and there doesn’t seem to be a clear threat yet. That shadow monster hasn’t done anything to warrant it as a concern other than being huge. I felt like the first two episodes could have been edited down into one. I’m hopeful for the rest of the season though and anxious for it to finally kick into gear

  4. They really should have killed off the sheriff in season 1 , he brings nothing to the show, is a bad actor, and such a horrible person in real life. Hopefully he won't play much of a part in the rest of the season.

  5. I just finished episode 2 now I have to go to bed 😭. As soon as I wake up in the morning I'm going to watch episode 3. I'm not leaving my house till I finish all 9 episodes damn it.
