The ambitious, grasping, amoral Roy family is about to return to our screens, and all will soon be right with the world. HBO has released a new trailer and we shouldn’t wait any longer before watching it:
This minute-and-a-half teaser is packed with classic Roy-isms. “This is not about getting back at dad, but if it hurts him, it doesn’t bother me.” “That shouldn’t make you smile, who likes tight-rope walking a straight razor?” “Like Isreal-Palestine, Greg, but harder and much more important.” These people are the worst. I can’t get enough of them. I despise them. I want them to be my family.
And we have a release date! The fourth season of Succession premieres on HBO and HBO Max on March 26.
HBO on top, from House of the Dragon to The Last of Us to Succession season 4
Is it just me or has HBO really been on the ball lately? Last year they debuted House of the Dragon, which had their biggest premiere in years and won a Golden Globe for Best Drama. Soon after that ended, we got The Last of Us, which is off to a roaring start and has almost two months left in the tank. And shortly after that ends, we’ll get the fourth season of Succession, which is probably the most popular show on the network right now.
…and also the final season of His Dark Materials was in there and that was nice too, I guess. Anyway, the point is that HBO seems to be giving the people what they want right now, daring subscribers to cancel their HBO Max subscriptions and maybe even getting a few new converts.
