Our Humble Beginnings: The Den of Nerds started as the personal YouTube channel of our founder, Joshua Lucas. Josh is a comic book writer and editor, but more importantly, he’s a HUGE Nerd. He started making videos on June 15th 2016. The goal back then was to just talk about Nerdy things, but quickly Josh found that his interests had changed. Soon after, he formed a new vision for what The Den of Nerds could and should be.
The Changing State of Media: Media Is going through the most massive shift in the past hundred years. Everything is going digital, direct to market, and mobile. The best and worst part of this is that there are no more gatekeepers. Anyone and everyone can put their content out there and reach a mass audience. However, the new gatekeeper is the algorithm. In order to get stuff in front of people, certain practices are done which hurt quality. In this world, where established networks are now fighting for views against thousands of YouTube personalities and bloggers, ALL of these people have forgotten the most important part of this equation. That is the value for the end consumer. That is something we will NEVER do. How will we figure out how to add value to our audience? It’s simple; we’ll ACTUALLY interact with them and we’ll actually CARE.
Our Vision: We want to become the ESPN of Nerdy things, but obviously with some changes. We imagine a place and time where we have high quality and personalized content put out every day that serves Nerds around the world. We want to be hyper interactive with our viewers on Social Media and in person. Simply put, we exist to expand the fun in YOUR life! Becoming a major player in reporting, programming, and covering Nerdy things is how we plan to do that!

Episode 9: The Rise of Ren! 😀 lol
I really saw that last Rey/Kylo "force connection" when she's on the Falcon as her shutting the door to him. Literal and metaphorical. That looks she gives him the second before she shuts it is universal female (toward anyone not just a love interest) for 'dude, I tried to help you and you refused. Now you've made your bed and gotta lie in it. Good luck. It's all on you.'
It will be interesting to see how Hux and Kylo develop. It seems that Snoke developed a strong animosity between the two. Will they realize this (or at least Kylo) or will they continue to work in opposition? Hux has the echos of his evil dad who hated him that will also come into play.
It's gonna be so juicy!

Ben Solo isn't cut out to be Renperor. The reason they made Hux look like a buffoon in TLJ? So you will be surprised at how he manages to go against Kylo Ren.
I have a theory… I was a little disepoited of Snokes death (Sorry for my bad English) and i think he was doing the same force thing that Luke did and come back whit a Black lightsaber! (that would be so awesome) What do you guys think; will Snoke be back or not?
Here's my thing. We know now that the force has balanced out Kylo by giving Rey such strength. If Kylo dies, then the force is once again unbalanced and the cycle will start again. The darkness will need to rise.
For the Skywalker line to end, there needs to be balance, as what was predicted of Anakin. Anakin's bloodline will bring balance, Ben Solo will not turn. He will find the place within him that is both dark and light, rey helping him balance that out as he will help her balance out her darkness. They will become the grey.
What Hux does well? Hmm so far he can’t do anything well. A slow moving space chase? Just jump your ship or others in hyperspace to catch up lol. Hux is useless like capt phasma. These are things they seriously need to address. Characters need to be purposeful and compelling and have an impact on the plot. Otherwise why have them?
Answer: They're called the Caretakers!
I really hope Rey and Ben are the new Jacen and Jaina in this new Trilogy. I so want to see Rey tell Kylo Ren "So die already!" as she kills Kylo and brings peace to the galaxy.

I’d love to see a scene where Kylo and Rey have an epic lightsaber battle, but Kylo wins. He stands there looking at Rey, holding up his weapon ready to strike but then, in a way reminiscent of Luke refusing to kill his father, Ben throws down his lightsaber (and they fuck or something I dunno)

This is from a confirmed source. The next episode will show ren in all his glory. We will see the sith that was puppeting snoke. Snoke is just a body or vessel for this sith. Kylo cant be changed into a sith until rey dies. Towards the end it will show rey and ren fighting until ren overcomes the future bride or disney princess rey. And as he moves to deliver a final death blow to her a bright light is seen and luke and annikin are descending upon him. Ren tries to fight but its no use. Luke smirks at him and lirking behind him u see han solo and princess organa. Ren is overwhelmed with emotions. Luke tells him to calm down. Annikin tells him the story of a mighty fearless jedi that changed him back to the light. Luke smiles. Annikin proceeds to tell him that rey might be a mary sue but you will also die if u kill her. Hence the force bond they share. The force created them as a whole. Not 2 seperate entities. Kylo looks at rey. And back at his family. Han said in front of everyone that he was the 1 that ignited rens saber. Ren shouldnt feel bad because his death was meaningful towards the change of rens heart and the neccessary schisms created within. Ren accepts everything and rey getting up from being unconscience sees what is going on but unaware of the revelations. A dark sith emerges. Angry cuz he needed ren and rey to die. Begins battling Rey. She doesnt stand a chance. She sees ren and through the power he has gained from forgiveness his saber turns from red to green. They fight and win and then get married and the galaxy has royalty again. The end

The only way that balance will be brought to the force is if the dark and light merge together. One isn’t meant to defeat the other, they must coexist in harmony. The dark side is NOT evil, it is the representation of death in our world and the light is the representation of creation. Sure, death isn’t pleasant, but it’s the way of life. It’s a part of the natural balanced cycle. You cannot have creation without death. KYLO IS NOT SUPPOSE TO TURN TO THE LIGHT. He is the representative of the darkness and Rey is the representative of the light. And as TLJ showed us, neither is willing to completely move to the others side. It ends in a stalemate. In episode 9, my prediction is that they will learn to MEET EACH OTHER HALFWAY and compromise. And in that they will merge in union and bring balance to the force. Death and creation must unite for the balance of life to continue. Also! Awesome video! I don’t agree with all your predictions but it’s so fun to hear what other people think is gonna happen. 👍

I do believe that my comment might disappoint or even offend many star wars fans… but am i the only one to notice that when Kylo asks Ray to join him is so fucking simular to the marriage proposal of Mr. Darcy to Elizabeth Bennett in the classic pride and prejudice by jane austen.
Like 'you're nothing/ you come from nowhere/ you are important for noboby but me, etc, etc…' and his assurance that she would say yes. I mean…
Honestly I expected them to be a bit more creative in this plot twist, although I do like this classic of literature as I did enjoy the film.
