GAINESVILLE, Fla. – The Swamp was loud and the bands from Florida and Tennessee added to the noise level during Saturday’s football game.
While Tennessee’s Pride of the Southland Band played “Rocky Top” multiple times and the University of Florida Fightin’ Gator Marching Band kept the home crowd motivated, both bands played their rendition of the theme from HBO’s popular series “Game of Thrones” in the first half.
But much like the chess match in the show, the Pride of the Southland Band played an encore.
The medieval fantasy epic featuring kings, queens, dragons just finished its seventh season.
