Game of Thrones is an American fantasy drama television series created for HBO by showrunners David Benioff and D. B. Weiss. It is an adaptation of A Song of Ice and Fire, George R. R. Martin’s series of fantasy novels, the first of which is titled A Game of Thrones. Filmed in a Belfast studio and on location elsewhere in Northern Ireland, Croatia, Iceland, Morocco, Spain, Malta, Scotland, and the United States, it premiered on HBO in the United States on April 17, 2011. The series completed airing its fifth season on June 14, 2015, and has been renewed for a sixth season.

The series, set on the fictional continents of Westeros and Essos at the end of a decade-long summer, interweaves several plot lines with a broad ensemble cast. The first narrative arc follows a civil war among several noble houses for the Iron Throne of the Seven Kingdoms; the second covers the attempts of the exiled last scion of the realm’s deposed ruling dynasty to reclaim the throne; the third chronicles the rising threat of the impending winter and the legendary creatures and fierce peoples of the North.

  1. Fallout new Vegas. In it an army defends a big massive wall from barbarians in order to protect everything behind the wall. In two out of four endings a small yet technologically superior force defeats the horde of barbarians at the wall, in the later stages of the battle. Pretty much season 4 episodes 9+10 in a nutshell.

  2. Damn it, you missed one of my favourite easter eggs in gaming (I beamed when I noticed it)! In Skyrim, when you finished a certain quest, you are approached by Thongar Silverblood. The Silverbloods are an extremely powerful family who basically run the city of Markarth (a bit like the Lannisters). Anyways, after you finished this quest, he will say "The Silverbloods pay their debts" (clear reference for me to "A Lannister pays his debts").

But hey, there's nothing to see here…
