I left the safety of my podcast aggregator to remind the worlds best friends that both Wolfenstein II: The New Colossus and South Park: The Shattered but Whole both release in October.
1; where are you getting that " shared health pool" thing about cuphead? I've watched multiple people play & have not seen it. I'm pretty sure you are spreading misinformation.
2: hi
The last bosses of Cuphead are still perfectly fair. And Dicehead's parrying fight is, frankly, extremely easy. Probably intentionally, considering he's precided by a boss gauntlet.
As someone who grew up with a PS1 there is definitely nostalgia for those games, I'm not saying they hold up or not as I haven't played them in years, but it's a bit silly to say there won't be nostalgia for them just because you don't have it
Thanks Plante for initiating a very good Destiny convo!
The fact that Griffin McElroy is a fan of Dangan Ronpa has given me joy on this day.
I’d love to hear what Plante thinks about Guild Wars 2 considering that there isn’t a gear treadmill and that the focus of the MMO is on story and doing group content for mostly cosmetic rewards. I completely agree with his thoughts on MMO culture and how people are encouraged to churn through a game and be put in this cycle of paying for an endgame that’s just a raid one or two nights a week. I don’t think Guild Wars 2 is a perfect game by any means, but it definitely addresses these problems with MMO culture by crafting their systems around this idea that a person’s time investment shouldn’t numerically dictate whether or not they are better at the game than someone with a tighter schedule.
Talking about how good Metroid is but haven't played Hollow Knight, smh
I think the talk about Destiny 2 was one of the best conversations The Besties has had to date. I don't even play/know much about Destiny and I was glued to the conversation. So many different types of players and reasons for playing with very different experiences and all of them were valid. Extremely good stuff.
Besties forever. This rollercoaster of barely constrained mutual contempt will never die.
I’m sorry I don’t think destiny main quest was that awesome to be honest, just functional.
Something I really dig about SWD2 is that you start with reasonably good vertical traversal tools (wall slide and wall jump specifically). In so many games of the dig-and-mine genre (including SWD1) you spend so much of the early game managing your inventory of ladders or equivalent and making extra sure you always have a path back to the surface, which is a challenge but for me has never been a terribly fun or interesting one.
jesus fucking christ hearing "dangan ronpa" outta griffins mouth gave me an aneurysm
so sick of hearing about destiny
i am so sick of people saying to put stuff on switch instead of 3DS, especially as someone who doesnt have a switch. im waiting for the switch XL since theres like 5 exclusives max right now
Danganronpa is localized as Trigger Happy Havoc…. Sorry, that just grinded my gears a little
Glad you talked about cuphead's shitty controls!
Boy, PUBG better not beat out Zelda.
first episode of this i've watched and i love the intro music daaaammmnnbn
For someone who ribs ppl for being "elitist pro gamers" Russ really embodies that attitude while having none of the skill.
