The Big Bang Theory star Kevin Sussman has poked fun at angry Game Of Thrones viewers as fans demand writers remake the final season.
The actor, who plays Stuart Bloom in the CBS sitcom, bigged up the comedy’s incoming last ever double bill and promised that if it doesn’t live up to fans’ expectations the whole cast would re-do it.
Taking to Twitter, Kevin wrote: ‘Tonight is the series finale of The Big Bang Theory.
‘I think the writers did a fantastic job tying up the series, but we will, of course, re-do it if anyone is unsatisfied.’
His dig comes just one day after Game Of Thrones viewers launched an online campaign for the season eight to be shot again following backlash from episode five, The Bells.
So far the petition, which is also calling for ‘competent writers’, has raised more than 600,000 signatures.
The plea was created by Dylan D on Change.org and reads: ‘David Benioff and DB Weiss have proven themselves to be woefully incompetent writers when they have no source material (i.e. the books) to fall back on.
‘This series deserves a final season that makes sense.
‘Subvert my expectations and make it happen, HBO!’
The Big Bang Theory is set to come to a close tonight with two final episodes titled The Change Constant and The Stockholm Syndrome.
The tagline for the latter teases: ‘Bernadette and Wolowitz leave their kids for the first time; Penny and Leonard try to keep a secret; Sheldon and Amy stick together; and Koothrappali makes a new friend, as the gang travels together into an uncharted future.’
The cast have been busy reminiscing about the much-adored sitcom before the last hurrah, with Johnny Galecki sharing pictures of the final scenes of Leonard and Penny.
Meanwhile Kaley Cuoco shared an emotional snap of her and her co-stars watching the finale on-set together.
The Big Bang Theory finale airs tonight on CBS in the US.
